First Look at "Spider-Man: Web of Shadows"

I'm a huge fan of Spidey, but not so much of his games, but it looks like the new Spider-Man installment, Web of Shadows is about to change all that.

Not only do the graphics look stunning (I do believe I will spend countless hours swinging through the city, just sightseeing in-game rendering.) ... but the game itself is much more appealing than its predecessors.

Peter Parker must execute carefully planned button configurations to correctly perform combo attacks on enemies, and he can learn hundreds of different attacks throughout the course of the game.

Another new feature to Spider-Man games is that of experience points. In Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, you must progress through the streets of Manhattan as you complete quests given to you by civilians, fellow heroes, and defeated enemies.

Since this game's storyline is set around a symbiote invasion, Spidey's black suit has made a triumphant return. The original Spider-Man costume focuses on agility and speed, while the black Spider-Man costume amplifies your strength. Alternating between the two suits allows you to choose between two arrays of totally different moves, providing a sickening arsenal of attacks. You can even swap into the other costume mid air, thus adding a blanket of complexity never before seen in Spider-Man games.
