Hackers Loot $1.2 Million in Microsoft Points

Sometime yesterday afternoon, several websites began to popup across the internet offering totally free Microsoft Points for Xbox Live. Usually, these are spam sites asking you to perform some sort of incentive that gets the site owner money, but you never see points. Well, these were legit sites, and they were spreading like wildfire due to a "Robin Hood"-esque act of vigilante pilfering; someone released the method and program to generate your own Xbox Live Microsoft Points (as well as a limited edition Banshee avatar) on public file upload sites, and linked to them from notoriously popular sites, like xbox360iso.com and other underground Xbox 360 communities.
